The Menu
Guten Morgen! Start your morning off right with a home cooked German breakfast, with items such as omelets, waffles, crepes, and pancakes gracing the menu. Try a stack of the only German pancakes served in town. Lunch begins after 11am, with an abbreviated list of breakfast items still available. A popular lunch item is the Fredericksburger, the restaurant’s juicy burgers with a few twists. The schnitzel burger is a great bite to order for something different. Schnitzel is a popular German fare, with a thin slice of veal or other light meat coated in breadcrumbs and fried. The Old German Bakery offers a variety of schnitzels, such as the Holsteiner Schnitzel topped with eggs or the Jägerschnitzel Schnitzel loaded with mushrooms & gravy. Try the sausage plate for a sampling of bratwurst, knackwurst, and smoked on sauerkraut and German pan fries.
