My husband surprised me for our one year anniversary by staying in this wonderful room, the Carriage House. Everything was so beautiful and perfect. He ordered champagne and strawberries from Absolute Charm and had them waiting when we arrived! The private hot tub was also a a wonderful surprise. Our anniversary here will always be something we remember. We hope to back to visit very soon!

The Carriage House is an exquisitely charming place to stay in Fredericksburg. It has everything you could possible need in a B&B. The room is comfortable, private, quiet and just a short stroll from the shops. We so enjoyed eating at Rathskeller for breakfast with our certificates. We can't wait to return!

Carriage House enjoys the distinction of being the only suite at the Victorian Mansion that is a completely private cottage with no walls shared. The spacious cottage includes a dazzling, huge bedroom with a mahogany Thomasville four-poster king bed with matching granite topped night stands. The comfortable bed is dressed in the finest silk and velvet Reilly Chance custom bedding. Prepare to be dazzled!
The oversized cottage also provides comfortable seating and a 42" plasma TV with cable selections perfect for catching up on the news or watching the big game. Guests often comment on the beautiful stained glass window in the cottage. The window was salvaged from an old mansion in St. Louis and sets the color palette for Carriage House. Guests also enjoy a mini-kitchen complete with microwave, mini-fridge, coffee pot and all the fixin's!
You will also find a full bath complete with jacuzzi tub and shower. Perhaps Carriage House's most popular feature is its private 400 square feet courtyard... and we do mean private, complete with 6 foot privacy fence! Inside this little oasis you will find your very own Viking 17-Jet hot tub! The courtyard also provides your own outdoor sitting area, perfect for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening! What a perfect place to enjoy a nice soak after a full day of hitting the shops!
