Famed Texas pastry chef Rebecca Rather welcomes you to her private bed and breakfast getaway, Rather Sweet Retreat.....named after the restaurant which brought her so many accolades. Rebecca has been lauded in Texas Monthly, Southern Living, Food & Wine and many others; and her restaurant was even listed in USA Today's "10 Great Places to Indulge Your Sweet Tooth!" Guests of her retreat enjoy not only her cozy cottage full of her tasteful design, but also a continental breakfast with Rebecca's tasteful special touch!
The cottage itself offers beautiful hardwood floors and vintage details throughout. Though charm and peace abound, modern conveniences are also honored...such as complimentary wireless internet. Guests enjoy a comfortable, put your feet up and relax, kind of den, a charming dining space and full kitchen. The front bedroom holds a lovely king size bed while the back bedroom offers a plush queen bed, and between the two bedrooms you will find a vintage bath with tub/shower combination.
Rebecca continues to cultivate her herb and vegetable garden in the cottage's back yard which is also home to her geese. In the spring she plans to add chickens and pigs to her little culinary haven. Feel free to walk among the plants and arbors and enjoy what only Fredericksburg can offer. Rebecca has created her own little Sunnybrook Farm just a block from the bustle and excitement of Main Street.
