I just want to thank you for allowing us to stay in this beautiful place. It felt like a home away from home!! We agree the donkeys are adorable as is the surrounding landscape. It was perfect, the perfect getaway on a beautiful full moon lit night! The mockingbirds and cardinals were a sight to see from the spacious kitchen windows. Once again, we truly thank you for such a delightful and restful stay here!! You will certainly hear from us again!!

Your B&B was so cozy and relaxing. Couldn't have picked a better place. We really enjoyed our 6th anniversary here. We both are huge animal lovers and love all critters big and small. Of course the beloved donkeys stole our hearts! The peacock, cat and deer were just as awesome. We hope to stay here again.

Mockingbird House Bed and Breakfast is just what you would expect in the Texas Hill Country! You will enjoy peace and and comfort in this private cottage located on acreage just a few minutes from downtown Fredericksburg. Drive through the rolling hills and past all the deer and onto this lovely property. At the end of the drive you will find the cottage adjacent to the owners' home but completely private.
This newly constructed cottage offers tuscan tiled floors, an authentic rock wood-burning fireplace and streamlined, soothing decor. Guests enjoy a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a cozy dining space and views of the countryside. The bedroom includes a queen size bed with luxurious velvet bedding and your own private bath with a vessel sink and clawfoot tub with hand-held shower. The cottage also includes a queen sleeper sofa in the den which comes in handy when an extra person or two needs to join you on your Hill Country getaway!
Guests enjoy sitting on the porch, rocking away their cares and enjoying the views. You can expect a visit from the miniature donkeys, including the newest baby Gabriel. His mother, Amelia Earhart, is usually standing nearby hoping to have her ears scratched too!
