Harrison House is a delightful bed and breakfast compound located in Fredericksburg's beautiful historic district just one block off of West Main Street. The front house is a charming craftsman style bungalow full of authentic period details. The house is home to two private suites, the spacious and elegant Victorian Suite and the beautiful, budget-friendly Sienna Suite. Behind the front house is an amazing and very unexpected gem... Clara's Cabin. Clara's Cabin is a fabulous log cabin complete with its own totally private landscaped courtyard and private hot tub. Harrison House makes a perfect getaway for two or you can open up the entire house to accommodate a group of four. Add Clara's Cabin and up to 6 can stay comfortably on the property! All guests at Harrison House enjoy an incredible gourmet breakfast served daily at 9:00 a.m. in the delightful sunroom of the front house.
Clara's Cabin is an spacious, authentic, and tasteful Texas-style log cabin for two guests. Inside you will find a lovely bedroom alcove with rough-hewn log queen size bed and private bath with a large shower. The bedroom opens into a large den with leather sofa, cowhide chairs, and a fabulous gas fireplace for cool evenings. The cabin has a kitchen but does not allow cooking. However, you are welcome to use the microwave and full sized refrigerator along with a dining nook with seating for four....a great spot for an evening game of cards. Oh, and did I mention the private hot tub? Of course I did!
Guests always enjoy the beautifully landscaped completely private outdoor garden at Clara's Cabin! The adobe and cedar-stay fence afford privacy as well as authentic Hill Country flavor. The ultimate temptation is the fabulous gourmet breakfast your owners and hosts serve each morning at 9:00 a.m. in the cheery sunroom of the front house. Enjoy fabulous cuisine with delicacies such as pecan waffles topped with peaches and fresh whipped cream, bacon, and fruit topped with brandy cream or perhaps you'll enjoy the berry-stuffed french toast with herbed potatoes and fruit compote. You will never be disappointed with the incredible breakfasts at Harrison House Bed and Breakfast! And, of course, their wonderful private hot tub!
