Der Fels means The Rock, and beautiful Texas limestone abounds at the lovely bed and breakfast located right in the middle of Texas wine country. There is no more convenient place for exploring the vineyards and wineries dotting this pastoral area. While Der Fels is in the heart of the wineries, a short 5 minute drive puts you in downtown Fredericksburg where you can enjoy world class shopping and restaurants.
Der Fels offers two luxury accommodations, Franciscan Cottage and Alexander Suite. Each offers an open, spacious floor plan, king bed, private bath with large tub and rain shower head. You will also find in each a 42" plasma TV with Satellite and an electric fireplace, microwave, mini-fridge, etc.
Best of all, each B&B boasts its own completely private hot tub...Franciscan Cottage's hot tub has a view of rolling hill country, while Alexander Suite's hot tub is completely privacy fence. Either way, you can't go wrong with Der Fels! !
