Augusta’s Haus is one of those rare houses that just has a great feel about it. From the moment you step inside, you'll see what we mean. The cottage is “pure Fredericksburg.” Don’t be surprised if someday you’re flipping through an architectural magazine or travel book on the wonders of the Texas hill country and see this little gem. After all, it has already been featured on the pages of Lone Star Living by Beard and Parsons. And it’s no wonder; the attention to detailed craftsmanship is unparalleled. Completely remodeled a few years ago by a renowned local artisan, this 1933 treasure will take your breath away!
Deceptively spacious, Augusta’s Haus offers guests 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in its 2500 square feet of living space. From the entry of the Tudor style cottage, you will first find a spacious living room with wood burning fireplace and a marvelous dining room, faux-finished with a subtle harlequin monochromatic scheme. Behind that is perhaps our favorite room...the kitchen and gathering room. Not an ordinary kitchen, this completely custom space boasts hand-rubbed cabinetry, full size appliances and even a TV at just the right height to view from the comfy sofa. Adjacent is a charming morning room, a great place for a meal or cup of coffee.
The master suite includes a library, a huge vaulted bedroom with king size bed and a private-access screen porch, perfect for listening to the birds in the morning! The pine armoire disguises a large flat screen TV complete with cable selections, of course. The en suite master bath includes a large whirlpool tub and a separate glass shower. You will truly feel like king and queen of the castle in this elegant, romantic suite.
If you decide to bring the kids or a few friends, the home offers an additional 2 bedrooms with king bed in each and a great vintage bathroom with a tub/shower combo in the hall in between. The charming back yard holds Augusta’s Cottage, a separate getaway you may want to rent to accommodate even more guests! When it comes to luxury, location, comfort, charm and convenience, you just can't beat Augusta's Haus!
