Breakfast at Absolute Charm Luxury Properties
At Absolute Charm we strive to provide a lovely breakfast to each of our guests. While many cottages in town have gone to a "no breakfast" or "coffee and tea service only" policy, we believe part of running a bed and breakfast of any size includes providing some type of breakfast. Whether a particular property offers a full sit-down affair, a continental spread, or a certificate to a well-loved local eatery, you can be assured the owners have made this choice with your comfort and convenience in mind. Some guests insist that a full breakfast in a traditional setting visiting with other guests is the way to go, whereas others prefer the privacy afforded by gift certificates or continental breakfasts. Please read EACH individual property's detailed listing page carefully to see what type of breakfast that particular property offers, and then you will be able to choose the property that is right for you!
Full Breakfast
Traditional B&Bs usually offer a big sit-down breakfast each morning in a lovely dining room. For example, at the
Inn on the Creek, a lavish breakfast is served at 8:30 each morning. Typical fare at the Inn on the Creek’s daily breakfast table would include biscuits and bacon, homemade breakfast cake, bacon and green chili quiche, and fresh fruit with a delectable creme fraiche topping. Currently, our properties which do provide this wonderful service are:

Continental Breakfast
Some of our properties serve a continental breakfast which is typically left in your suite prior to your arrival. You will usually find items such as pastries, fruit and juice provided, though each owner's idea of continental breakfast will vary. Many guests enjoy the privacy afforded by finding the goodies in their room on arrival.
No matter which breakfast best suits your style, you can certainly look forward to a lovely start to your morning!
Gift Certificate to Local Restaurants
If you book one of our many gift certificate properties, you will receive a certificate for each morning's breakfast. If an Absolute Charm breakfast certificate is provided, then your certificate is good for $6.00 per person (other services usually only give $5.00) per day at any of our affiliated restaurants listed below. Please be aware that your certificate may or may not cover the full amount of your meal. This will depend on the choices you make of course. We offer a good variety of restaurants, and we believe we offer something for all tastes! (Please be aware that hours of operation, etc. can change without our knowledge. When in doubt, feel free to call the restaurant to verify times.) Also, note that if a property is noted in their listing as giving a certificate to a certain restaurant, their exact terms (as far as restaurants and dollar amounts) will vary. Directly across from the Nimitz Museum is the quaint Mahaley’s Café. Stop by and enjoy the BEST breakfast tacos and iced tea in town! (Mahaley’s will also accept certificate toward lunch!)

Andy's is a Fredericksburg classic, old-fashioned diner. Order wonderful plate breakfast from the menu. On weekends you'll even have a choice between a buffet or ordering from the menu!

Classic American Bistro from Benedicts and Omelets to Quiche and French Toast. Stop by and see what all they offer... I’m sure you won’t be disappointed! Sunset Grill will also accept certificate towards lunch.
138 E. Main 830-997-8490 - Breakfast Served 7:30 a.m. or so until... 7 days a week. Breakfast pastries served bakery style daily. Elvis abounds at this lively diner as do good times and great food! Peruse the vast counter for a sweet treat you won't be able to resist! Clear River Pecan will also accept certificate towards lunch.
260 E. Main 830-990-5858 - Closed Tuesday - Breakfast served: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
This unusual, upscale restaurant is located in the basement of the historic hospital building on Main St. below the Kuchen Laden kitchen store. The atmosphere is charming and the food is excellent. My personal favorite is the French toast. Again, it would be easy to go over the certificate value at Rathskeller, but you will find several items which are covered. However, Rathskeller is definitely worth a splurge. Loosen your belt and live a little!
