Breakfast at the Absolute Charm Luxury Properties
At Absolute Charm we strive to provide a lovely breakfast to each of our guests. While many cottages in town have gone to a "no breakfast" or "coffee and tea service only" policy, we aim to provide the best breakfast possible based on where you choose to stay. Whether a particular property offers a full sit-down affair, a continental plus breakfast, or a certificate to a well-loved local eatery, you can be assured the owners have made this choice with your comfort and convenience in mind. The B&B's we represent typically offer one of three types of breakfast: full, gift certificate and continental. We find that there is no "best" breakfast type to offer. Some guests prefer one while other insist another is best. Please read EACH individual property's page carefully to see what type of breakfast that particular property offers.Full Breakfast
Traditionally, B&Bs offer a big sit-down breakfast each morning in a lovely dining room. For example, at the Inn on the Creek, coffee is served beginning at 7:30 and and breakfast is served at 8:30 each morning. Typical fare in a full breakfast includes biscuits and bacon, homemade breakfast cake, bacon and green chili quiche, and fresh fruit with a delectable creme fraiche topping. Larger, traditional inns often offer full breakfast. Currently, our properties which do provide this wonderful service are: Chuckwagon Inn, Lazy T, Inn on the Creek, and Queen Anne B&B and Spa (Queen Anne is currently serving breakfast only on weekends - weekdays receive Gift Certificates to Local Restaurants).Gift Certificate to Local Restaurants
If you book one of our many gift certificate properties, you will receive a certificate for each morning's breakfast. This certificate provides breakfast for each member of your party at one of our wonderful local restaurants. If an Absolute Charm breakfast certificate is provided, then your certificate is good for $6.00 per person (note other services usually only give $5.00) per day at any of our affiliated eateries. We like to offer a good variety of choices, and we believe we offer something for all tastes! (Please be aware that hours of operation, etc. can change without our knowledge. When in doubt, feel free to call the restaurant to verify times.) Also, note that if a property is noted in their listing as giving a certificate to a certain restaurant, their exact terms (as far as restaurants and dollar amounts) will vary. Elvis abounds at this lively diner as do good times and great food! Peruse the vast counter for a sweet treat you won't be able to resist!Andy's Diner:
413 S. Washington 830-997-3744 Breakfast Served 7:30-11:00 a.m. (7 days a week) Andy's is a Fredericksburg classic, old-fashioned diner. Order wonderful plate breakfast from the menu. On weekends you'll even have a choice between a buffet or ordering from the menu!Sunset Grill:

Main 830-990-0498 Breakfast served: 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday Rather Sweet is a Fredericksburg classic which has been written up in Texas Monthly, Southern Living, USA Today and many others. For breakfast, they primarily offer home baked muffins, scones, and breakfast tacos. This is a culinary experience not to be missed!Rathskeller:

Main 830-990-5858 Closed Tuesday Breakfast served: 9:00am - 11:00am This unusual, upscale restaurant is located in the basement of the historic hospital building on Main St. below the Kuchen Laden kitchen store. The atmosphere is charming and the food is excellent. My personal favorite is the French toast. I‚m getting hungry just thinking about it. Again, it would be possible to go over the certificate value at Rathskeller, but you will find several items which are covered. Rathskeller is also worth a splurge. Some of our properties serve a continental breakfast which is typically left in your suite prior to your arrival. You will usually find items such as pastries, fruit and juice provided, though each owner's idea of continental breakfast will vary. Many guests enjoy the privacy afforded by finding the goodies in their room on arrival. No matter which breakfast best suits your style, you can certainly look forward to a lovely start to your morning!
